Where can I request my eTítulo (digital diploma)?

To obtain the eTitle, your university must be part of the project

1. You can request the eTitle at the title service of your university when you request or collect your paper title.
2. You will receive an authentication key in your email that you must validate in the Graduate Portal, where you can view, download, and share your eTitle, as well as other features.

Can the same certificate be used in multiple browsers?

Yes, once the certificate is downloaded, it can be installed in multiple browsers using the certificate export and import options.

How do I access the portal if I don't have a username and password?

If you access the Graduate Portal for the first time, you must use the authentication code you received in your email (we recommend copying the code directly from the received document, including the dashes and without spaces). During the initial registration process wizard, you will be able to generate your own username and password.

What should I do if I don't remember my username or password?

In the authentication form of the  Titulado Portal there is a link to request a new password. Remember that you will have to indicate the email address associated with your eTitle account and you will receive a new password to enter.

In these cases, it is recommended to change the password in your user profile once you have logged into the portal.

How long is my authentication code valid?

The authentication code is valid until you create your own username and password.

What does it mean that my eTitle is pending generation?

Your eTitle request is being processed. You will receive a notification in the email you confirmed at your university indicating its availability in the Graduate Portal.

Can I use my eTíTulo in any country I want to accredit my degree?

Yes, without any doubt, although its admission will depend on the receiving organization.

Does the eTitle replace my paper document?

Although there are electronic documents that replace paper, the official title and the European Supplement to the Title (SET) are regulated by legislation and the paper document must exist. If your electronic document includes the legend AUTHENTIC ELECTRONIC COPY, this document does not replace the paper document, but it has the same legal validity.

If I have more than one university accreditation, can I request an eTitle for each of them?

Yes, of course.

Can the eTitle replace the certified copies of my university credentials?

The title has the same evidentiary value as a certified copy of your university accreditation.

What happens if I revoke my digital certificate?

The revocation of the electronic certificate invalidates its validity and is irreversible. However, this does not affect the validity of eTitle at all.

You can access your eTitle on the Titulated Portal.

If you wish to request a new electronic certificate, you must do so in person at your University or at a Registration Authority of the trusted electronic services provider.

How do I revoke my certificate?

There are two procedures to revoke your digital certificate.
Online Procedure
Through this link, ONLINE REVOCATION, you can request the revocation of your certificate. To do this, follow these simple steps:

• In the form provided, you must correctly enter the data that identifies you.
• Enter the Revocation Code provided during the process of generating your digital certificate.
• Explicitly accept the processing of the request and its consequences.
• Once the processing is accepted, the certificate will be immediately revoked.

Telephone Revocation
To request the revocation, you can do it through the phone or the contact email indicated in the welcome email you received.

The subscriber must identify and authenticate their identity through the procedures that the eTítulo managers consider appropriate. Once the identification process has been carried out correctly, an operator of the Registration Authority will proceed to carry out the revocation.

If I am a former student of the university and already have my degree, how can I obtain my eDegree?

You can request your eTitle through the title service at your university.

Remember that your university must be part of the project.

How do I download my eTitle?

To download your eTitle, you must access the  Graduate Portal with the authentication code that you should have received in the email you provided and confirmed at the university.

If you already have an account, use the username and password you provided during the registration process.

How can I get the eTítulo if my university is not part of the project?

To obtain the eTítulo it is necessary that your University is adhered to the project.
You can transfer your request to the Title Service of your University.

What is an authentic electronic copy?

It is an electronic document, according to current legislation, that guarantees the integrity of the information contained in the document. According to said legislation, it has the same legal validity as the original document and can be used for electronic administrative procedures and for validation by third parties.

In the case of eTitle, it is a PDF document of your official title, SET or Own Title with Electronic Seal from your University and a time stamp, which certifies your qualification.

How can I verify and validate eTítulo and see that it meets the legal requirements?

There are several ways to validate an electronic document:

– Standard PDF document readers automatically validate electronic signatures or seals when opening the document. They will indicate if the document has been modified and if the signatures or seals are valid.

– You can validate the document by uploading it to the Government of Spain's website, at the following link:

– From the eTítulo website or the university's website, there is a link to Validate eTítulo using any web browser.

– If you use a mobile device, you can validate eTítulo using QR codes.

Why does a yellow question mark appear in the electronic signature of the document?

If your University includes the electronic signature of the person in charge of issuing Titles and appears with a yellow question mark, it may be due to:

– The browser has not been able to connect to the signature validation services.

– You have a very old version of the PDF file reader. We recommend opening the document with the most updated version of Adobe so that the signatures are automatically validated.

– If you have downloaded your eTitle and have it saved on a device, the electronic seal of the university and/or the signature of the person in charge of issuing titles may have expired**. The University seal (QR code in the header of the document) will always be valid and updated in your private area of the Graduate Portal. Enter the graduate portal and download it again.

** Electronic signature certificates have a validity period, according to current legislation, and must be renewed.

What is the validity of my eTitle and my electronic signature certificate?

The validity of eTitle is for life. The certificate must be renewed every three years.

What is an electronic certificate or electronic signature certificate?

A digital certificate or electronic certificate is a computer file generated by a trusted electronic service provider that associates identity data with a natural person, organization, or company, thus confirming their digital identity on the Internet. The digital certificate is mainly used to authenticate a user or a website on the Internet.

The digital certificate's main function is to authenticate the holder, but it can also be used for encrypting communications and digitally signing.

The electronic signature allows the sender and the receiver of the information or content to identify themselves with the certainty that they are the only ones interacting. This ensures that the content has not been altered, has not been intercepted during communication, and that both parties cannot deny the previously received and accepted information.

The certificate is a tool that allows you to identify yourself electronically on the network and carry out various procedures. The electronic certificate with the attribute of being titled truly guarantees who you are and also certifies the degree you hold.

When do I need to revoke my digital certificate?

In case of loss of the certificate or the computer containing it. If for any reason you believe that the computer storing your certificate has been compromised, it is your responsibility to proceed with the cancellation, that is, the revocation of your certificate.
